Car Shooting

If anyone is interested in buying a car, I have just the one for you.
My brother is in the market for a new car so he is selling his Mazda 3 Sedan.
After a fresh clean and polish he asked me to take a few snaps to 'show- off' the 'machine'

I haven't done much shooting of cars in the past so this was something different.

Blue Mountain Antiquities

After a long semester at university, and most the time of our holidays tied up with other ongoings, we finally made a short day trip up to the blue mountains for some antique browsing. Although we didn't end up buying anything, elle and myself enjoyed the rainy Tuesday nonetheless with lots of pictures, tea and treats (edible).

Some must see places when looking for antiques and other things in the Blue Mountains;

Mr Pickwick's old books and antiques-Katoomba
Victory Theatre Antiques- Blackheath (bit further up the mountain)

Coffee trail part two

Beside visiting a few other cafes through the day, one really exciting place was Charlie Lovett Cafe in Neutral Bay. Following visits nearly everyday to their Broadway location through university times, we felt like we needed to check out their second store in Neutral Bay...

Seeing friendly faces behind the counter and sipping on another great picolo, we enjoyed our stay at this organic, stylish and warming cafe. Charlie Lovett roast their own beans on site and are happy to have a chat about their recent single origin coffee bean. As well as ever-changing coffee blends, they boast a selection of fresh, wholesome lunches and bakery items, all baked on site everyday.

Looking forward to more visits over the break.

Coffee trail part one

First part of a thursday coffee trail led us to a lovely cafe in Mosman called 'Avenue Rd. Cafe'.
Elle and myself had been once before but the second time was even better...
Tea & Coffee served with souvenir tea spoons, fresh light breakfasts and smooth coffee made for a great morning.

Moving day.

Yesterday, my brother and his wife returned from their honeymoon to move into their new home.
This meant a day of unpacking, making and arranging for us all. A last minute trip to IKEA was in order, picking up final pieces of furniture. After struggling with an 'instruction-less' futon bed and a mixed-up book shelf; Sam & Kane enjoyed their first meal of pizza in their home.

Unlike the first day of this blog, the sun was shining bright and summer is upon us, I will take this as a good sign for the future.

Post-uni picnic

Following a tiresome uni semester, we decided to shoot down to the beach and enjoy the sunshine.
With a lunchtime basket of fun and cameras in hand, it was a really nice way to wind down from university, and relax.

The day I started my first blog

After thinking I would never start my own blog while admiring others,
I thought it seemed like the right time today to toughen up and finally try it.

University is coming to an end and the holidays are upon us.
Too bad today was such a grey day, things to blog can only get better ...
